12pm - History event in the Institute- Refreshments provided by Bamford W.I.
Sunday 10th July
12pm-3pm- Family Fun Afternoon on the rec. with traditional games including Rounders, Tug of war, children's races, 5 a side football etc. Children of all ages welcome. Games organised Jonathan Pearson.
6.00pm – Blessing of the well on the village green accompanied by Castleton Silver Band.
6.30pm – Crowning of Carnival Royalty – at St John the Baptist Church followed by refreshments at the Moore Memorial Hall.
Monday 11th July
7.00pm - Bingo in the village institute Entry Fee £1 caller Helen Thompson, Doors open at 7pm for 7.30 start.
NO ADMISSION TO ANYBODY UNDER THE AGE OF 16.
Tuesday 12th July
10.00am - Storytime at the Rest Cafe for toddlers, entry free, organised by Demelza Whitbread.
6.30pm – Junior Fell Race at Yorkshire Bridge(Parsons Gate),2 mile course. Ages 4-15years.Registration from 6.00pm Entry fee £2. Organised by Rachel Horn.
Following junior fell race, Ice cream van, BBQ, Refreshments & traditional games on the Banking, provided by the Yorkshire Bridge Inn.
Wednesday 13th July
3.30pm-5pm - Words and music workshop for young people
with Ian McMillan and Luke Carver Goss. Free ice creams from 3.30pm, Presented by BCAC with support from the Big Lottery Fund.
7.30pm - Senior Fell Race at the Recreation Ground . Ages 15 years and over, open to all . Entry fee £5.
Organiser Nick Baynes. Refreshments by Bamford PTFA, Marshalls needed.
7pm for 7.30pm start - Words, Music, Glee and Delight with Ian McMillan and Luke Carver Goss. Bar and free light refreshments during the interval, presented by BCAC with support from the Big Lottery Fund.
Advance tickets available from Bamford Post Office
Adults £3 (including a free drink from the bar), Under 16s free. If there are any tickets left, there will be free admission on the door.
Thursday 14th July
6.00pm - Family fun Bingo in the Anglers organised by Tracey Hoggarth.
9.00pm - Pub Quiz at the Anglers, organised by Dave Spencer and Rob&Lisa Taylor.
Friday 15th July

Sunday 17th July
1-30pm Dog Show judged by Carrie Togwell on the recreation ground £4 per dog registration from 1pm. Refreshments provided by Pre-School
2pm Bamford Celebration on the Green organised by Phil Taylor
5.00 - 6.00pm - Car Treasure Hunt organised by Tom and Don Hoggarth, start on the Rec. and finishing at Ladybower Inn for refreshments. Entry £5 per car.
Scarecrows need to be up by Friday 15th July, please contact Mags or Steve on 651611 just to let us know where they are if not on the main road.
Photos will be taken for judging and winners will be anounced on carnival day, cash prizes. Theme is musicals which can be anything from a stage play to a film, old or new.
Fancydress on carnival day sponsored by Carbolite, assemble in the school yard 1pm for 1.30pm judging. No theme for this do what ever you want!
Floats welcome assemble on Ashopton Old Road.
