historic, traditional event is always a brilliant day and offers a great atmosphere for all the family. It is amazing to watch
the dogs and handlers at work and watch the teamwork between man and dog that has been built up over years of training. These
are skills that have been passed over the generations of sheep farmers over many years.
well as the trials you can watch a demonstration of hand sheep shearing, weather permitting, as well as a competition for
the best conditioned sheepdog.
There are several side stalls selling
cakes, plants, food, drink and ice creams and the newly refurbished playground is available for the entertainment of younger
children. For those who are feeling energetic enough, there is a 4.5 mile
fell race at 1pm which is open to all competitors over 18 and always very popular. So why not join us for a fun family
