Bamford Community Arts and Crafts (BCAC) is a community association and registered charity,
established in 2001. We provide facilities for community activities in the arts and crafts for the benefit of people in the
Bamford area. We work with organisations in the public, voluntary and private sectors to design, seek funding for and manage
projects and events, in consultation with local community groups, schools etc.
Membership
Membership is open to all. BCAC has active policies on equal opportunities, on health and safety, and on the protection
of vulnerable members of the public. As a registered charity seeking to maximise income through Gift Aid, we no longer offer
special concessions for members - people join BCAC because they want to support its charitable aims. In August 2004 there
are 33 members.
Annual fees and membership categories
Full adult - £10.00
for people aged 20 years
or more. Each full member has a vote on BCAC matters.

paying concessionary membership fees have full membership rights.

the Committee aged 18 or more, who each have the same voting rights as full adult members.

Core funding
BCAC
depends for its core funding on membership fees, sales, rentals of equipment, donations and other direct fund-raising.
Project funding
Local residents and partner organisations donate a large
amount of time and range of skills to BCAC projects, as support-in-kind. Grant aid provides funding for additional professional
performances, for equipment and for leadership for community project work.
Executive
Committee
Members of the BCAC Committee are all local residents.
