Bamford Christmas Lights
Post date: Oct 20, 2014 9:51:50 PM
I hope many of you were able to come to the ‘switching on’ event of the lights on Sunday 2nd December and like me marvelled once again at the wonderful effect that they have in lighting up the village.
A huge thanks go to Father Christmas, who despite all the place he has at this time of year, found time to visit Bamford and help switch on our lights.
A huge vote of thanks as always go to John Cotton, Peter Hearnshaw and Gordon Danks who once again, checked and made sure everything was working for our big event.
Thanks also go to the Old Folks team, who put up the marvellous crib. The lights and the crib together made a wonderful display.
I would also like to thank all the ladies who helped serve the mulled wine and stolen to everyone who came. Once again ladies you did a great job.
If you haven't already been through the village please put it on your list to do before 2019 as they are a wonderful sight.
The donations we received on the night will go towards the upkeep of the lights and enable us to keep our wonderful lights display Bamford for many years to come.
