Moore Memorial Hall
Located on Brentwood Road, Bamford, the Moore Memorial Hall is a single-storey, pleasant, well-used small village hall, built in the 1930s partly by public subscription. In common with other village amenities, the hall has benefited by very generous contributions from the late Stephen Sampson.
The Hall offers bright, comfortable and practical accommodation . There is one large room with a seating capacity of 50. French doors give easy access to the garden which has a small seating area. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, cups and saucers.
Hire charges are on a sliding scale. For details, contact the Bookings Officer - Yvonne Pettit.
The Hall is the ideal location for meetings, Keep Fit and private parties, especially children's parties. It can be hired by the hour or day - there is no minimum hire charge and the rates are very competitive. The Hall can be booked for one-off events or by groups on a regular basis. So if you are thinking of organising a party or other event, consider the facilities the Moore Memorial Hall now has to offer.
The Hall has charitable status (number 1079637) and is run by a local group of volunteers (Trustees) mainly formed by members of user groups plus ex-officio members: Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
A number of local groups use the Hall on a regular basis including Toddlers, Wine Circle and the Women's Institute. The Hall is also the usual venue for charity coffee mornings and other fund-raising events organised by various organisations in Bamford
